Pieps Powder BT is a high-performance avalanche beacon outfitted with all the features needed for fast, accurate searches in the event of a slide. The redesigned housing features soft-touch contact points for improved handling. With built-in Bluetooth technology, you can connect it to your smartphone to check for the latest firmware updates, battery status, and other processes, while at the same time choosing between many burial simulations to practice your search capabilities. An extensive self-check function lets the beacon review all relevant hardware and software elements as well as show the current software version. It has perfect Mark-Performance due to exact signal processing without any performance losses. 3 antennas allow exact fine search in a maximum circular range of 60 meters. Ghost signal elimination, equipped with Pieps Advanced Signal Verification, the Powder BT displays only signals from beacons and not “ghost signals” from other sources. Protection in send mode with Auto-Antenna-Switch - if the transmitting antenna is impacted by external interference, the other antenna would take over the transmit function; Protection in search mode with Signal Verification - only a verified 457kHz signal is indicated. Group check mode is the quick and easy way to make sure that the avalanche beacons in the group are transmitting correctly. The most impressive safety feature is the AUTO-SEARCH-TO-SEND,  in the event of a secondary avalanche, the avalanche beacon automatically switches from search to send after a certain period of inactivity (the motion sensor does not register any movement). The included harness-style carrying pouch provides comfortable, streamlined storage and fast removal for beacon practice and emergency response.
