Aerodynamic in every detail: Specialized ensures that aerodynamics are applied where they truly matter. The new Speed Sniffer nose cone optimizes airflow, adding even more speed to the bike. By moving the head tube back, they created a narrower, sharper leading edge on the down tube, significantly reducing drag. The Tarmac SL8 also features the narrowest, most aerodynamic seatpost on the market, fully compliant with UCI regulations, allowing air to glide effortlessly past you and your bike.
Lightweight and aerodynamic: The Tarmac SL8 strikes the perfect balance between minimal weight and outstanding aerodynamics. Its impressively light Fact 10r carbon frame weighs just 685 grams, making it 15% lighter than the Tarmac SL7 frame and the lightest in the pro peloton (except for the 585-gram Aethos frame). The frame’s design efficiently handles loads, eliminating the need for extra layers of carbon stiffness.
The Tarmac SL8 takes performance to new heights with an improved stiffness-to-weight ratio, a full 33% better than the SL7. The legendary handling, aggressive responsiveness, and world-championship-proven geometry have been further refined. The bike feels stiffer underfoot, more precise at the handlebars, and incredibly comfortable in the saddle, setting new standards for racing bikes.
Thanks to Rider-First Engineering, every rider, regardless of frame size, experiences the same exceptional ride quality and unmatched handling. The S-Works carbon seatpost delivers 6% more compliance, offering a smooth and comfortable ride even on rough roads—something unique in the pro peloton. The proven Tarmac geometry and 32mm tire clearance remain the same as the SL7, ensuring adaptability and the versatility to use wider tires when needed.
The Tarmac SL8 S-Works is built with a premium 12r carbon frame and top-of-the-line components. The complete SRAM Red eTap AXS groupset with a power meter and Roval Rapide CLX II wheels, ready for tubeless use, perfectly complements the world’s fastest frame. Every S-Works Tarmac SL8 model features a Roval Rapide handlebar to save weight and deliver the fastest possible front end.
