Product description
The new Chisel is lighter than its closest competitor and shares geometry and kinematics with the Epic mountain bike. The new version of Chisel offers top performance both in races and on local trails. Chisel features the lightest aluminum XC frame in its class. Each frame tube is designed for stiffness and comfort, ensuring optimal control and efficiency.
The suspension, tuned by Ride Dynamics, draws its performance from the Epic 8 bike. This ensures that the Chisel is capable of handling diverse terrain with confidence and speed. The geometry of the Chisel is designed for optimal terrain handling. A steep seat tube places the rider in the ideal pedaling position, while the refined anti-squat technology reduces pedal bob, increasing efficiency.
The components that accompany the Specialized Chisel Comp bike include RockShox SID forks with 120 mm travel and the RockShox SIDLuxe Select rear shock with two settings for optimal performance on varied XC terrain. The suspension, custom-developed by Ride Dynamics, offers unique damping characteristics. The bike is equipped with reliable and efficient Shimano M6100 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes. The durable 12-speed Shimano SLX drivetrain ensures simplicity, precision, and durability, while the lightweight and durable Specialized Alloy 29 wheels provide a stable ride. The TranzX dropper post adds even more control and confidence on technical trails.
Pedals are not included!
Why 29" wheels?
- 29" wheels for better control - the larger contact area with the ground provides better grip and thus better control while riding
- 29" wheels for greater speed - simple physics: larger diameter, higher speed
- 29" wheels for smoother ride - larger wheels make it easier to overcome smaller and larger obstacles in your path
- 29" wheels for taller riders – simply because they are bigger
